You can see how the hr tag works by looking at line <a href="https://github.com/samclarke/SCEditor/blob/master/jquery.sceditor.bbcode.js#L363" rel="nofollow">363</a> and <a href="https://github.com/samclarke/SCEditor/blob/master/jquery.sceditor.bbcode.js#583" rel="nofollow">583</a>. It's just the same as a normal bbcode but it has an extra line in the jquery.sceditor.bbcode.js to convert it. I plan to add support for self closing tags but as of tomorrow I won't have access to the internet for a while so it wont be added until after that. Currently only bbcode tags that have closing tags [tag][/tag] can be added without editing the jquery.sceditor.bbcode.js file. You can see how the hr tag works by looking at line 363 and 583.
